From David, “Here is the third idea, this one is by far the most abstract but I think it has the best potential to be unique. The name of to book becomes part of the thorns or brambles on the outside of the wall. In the book I believe the wall is more covered in vines, correct, with shards of glass and other things sticking out. I’m taking slight artistic liberty here to convey the idea of one side being smooth and stately and the other being ominous and menacing. There’s also symbolism in how the wall cuts through the book cover like it cuts through the landscape, separating. It’s really hard for me to convey in a thumbnail everything that is in my head stylistically…”
I am intrigued by this image, but am wondering what other elements he is planning to add. I haven’t heard back from him yet- but I’ll post when he does.
